This parallel-shaped outdoor kitchen is the star of the show. The design features a cooking counter paired with an island bar that comfortably seats six. The layout is beautifully symmetrical, with triple drawers and a trash drawer on each side of the grill. To address smoke ventilation under the lanai, a rear-exhaust vent hood was added, offering both functionality and sleek aesthetics.
The customer envisioned a unique design featuring a board and batten finish on the island bar side of the outdoor kitchen. Instead of using brick throughout, the board and batten was painted to match the style of the customer’s home, adding a personalized touch.
To address ventilation issues under the lanai, we decided to incorporate a vent hood into this outdoor kitchen. While it appears that the vent extends all the way up to the roof and beyond, the vent actually exhausts fumes to the rear. This clever design creates a sleek, seamless look while effectively managing grill fumes.
